I think it's safe to say the Indian Summer is well and truly over! Over the past week we have had a phenomenal amount of rainfall, and the affects of this are now being seen. Mark Harris was kind enough to head outside over the past couple of days and get some photographs for us:
Last night Mark headed along to Inverie River at the Kilchoan bridge just as the river was bursting its banks.
And then this morning, after another pouring night, Mark went out to see if there had been any damage and unfortunately spotted the Torrie road in a bit of a state. It seems the recent ditch clearing wasn't enough for the huge amounts of water pouring down towards the bay.
The locals are well used to weather damage over here but even this caught us by surprise! Good luck to all the clean-up crew - lets hope the sun appears (even just for a few hours!) to lighten the spirits a bit.
