Spring Time on Knoydart

13 Apr 2015

What a relief to see Spring has sprung! After a winter of horrendous weather - even by Knoydart standards - everyone is overjoyed to see some sunshine and be able to go outside without jackets, waterproofs, scarves and hats! Easter weekend did not disappoint, and whilst there were a few moments of rain and lots of fog, mother nature pulled out all the stops to give us a fantastic Easter Sunday. A few of us went to the beach to watch the sunset and decided to have a bit of fun while we were there...

And here is that sunset we were all in awe of...

As promised, Easter weekend brought a a burst of energy to Inverie Village as the many visitors came out to enjoy the activities laid on by the locals. The craft fair in Inverie Village Hall was again a resounding success, and followed by a FANTASTIC ceilidh in the evening with The Cask Strength Ceilidh Band. The first dance had 95% of folk on their feet ready to get going - a very good start which continued way on in to the night.

With the Easter holidays almost at an end we will see a lull in visitors which will kick back up again for the first May Bank Holiday. This gives everyone enough time to fully adjust to the summer season and make any last minute tweaks to ensure the next few months go without a hitch.
