Defibrillator Machines

There are two defibrillator machines on Knoydart:
 
Defib #1 - Located in the Knoydart Foundation Display Room, in Inverie Village
Defib #2 - Located in the Knoydart Foundation Bunkhouse lounge room, on top of the book shelf.
 
If you have an emergency, always call 999 first.

Knoydart Community Hall

The Knoydart Community Hall & Events SCIO is a community hall is situated in the heart of the village and an important part of our community living. The hall is used for music and arts events, meetings, ceilidhs, conferences, weddings, Burns Suppers, and sports activities to name just a few.

Kilchoan Estate Farm Shop

Kilchoan Farm Shop is situated on Kilchoan Estate nex to the Estate office, approximately a 20 minute walk from the village. In here you will find some basic essentials in case you run out during your stay – milk, bread, rolls, sausages, bacon, butter etc. We also have something to stick in your backpack if you are heading out for a walk like oatcakes, pate, cheese, crisps and flapjacks along with bottled water, small cartons of apple or orange juice and cans of fizzy juice. We have a supply of Kilchoan venison in our freezer along with various venison recipes and ingredients.

A range of local crafts and gifts are also available.

Knoydart Foundation Community Enterprise Shop

Knoydart’s community-owned Shop and off-licence, specialising in Knoydart wild venison, gorgeous locally handcrafted products, beautiful ethically-sourced gifts and treats, walks leaflets, maps and postcards. A must try for chocolate lovers - our brand new 'Peninsula Bar'! Handmade and specially developed for us by award winning Mirrie Dancers Chocolatier. 

 

Our off-licence stocks selected Scottish craft beers & ciders, artisan gins and traditional malts. New for 2019 we are an offical stockist for Knoydart Brewery - remotely crafted beer brewed in a wild place. A selection of wine and bubbles to suit all pockets is also available.

 

Please contact us to arrange pre-visit orders of drinks and venison, and your host can collect ready for your arrival!

Knoydart Foundation Wild Venison

Food doesn’t get much more local than this. Delicious and nutritious, venison is high in B6, protein and iron, and low in cholesterol. Ours is also low in food miles – maybe 6 or 7 tops! All cuts and all sizes available all year round in the Community Enterprise Shop at competitive prices. Orders can be taken before you arrive: call us on

Knoydart Foundation Display Room

Located next to the Community Shop within the Knoydart Foundation office building, the display room provides a wealth of information on the Knoydart Foundation and its activities.  
 
The window of the display room also acts as a noticeboard detailing upcoming events, community info and general information.

Post Office & Local Shop

The local Post Office and shop is run by Bernie & Shiela Evemy. The Post Office supports the community with this vital service year round - and very handy if you want to send a holiday postcard home. The shop is well stocked with canned & dry goods, confectionary, household requisites, dairy products, local produce in season and much more.
