Bed & Breakfast
Doune Stone Lodges
Sleeps up to 12 people

Doune is nestled on the western tip of Knoydart, a world away from the daily grind, with incredible views and surrounded by wildlife.
Our Rooms. Simple, comfortable, en-suite rooms available as twin or superking with a mezzanine for children. Solo travellers can stay in the bothy room. Stays are full board for three, four or seven nights, dogs welcome.
Our Food. You’ll enjoy three meals a day; breakfast, a packed lunch and set menu evening meal in our award-winning Dining Room. We care about the provenance of our ingredients; they’re typically grown here at Doune or sourced locally. We cater for vegan and vegetarian diners, and food allergies or intolerances.
Activities. Hike, bike, swim, run, read, write, paint…or just relax and soak it all in. Our guests have use of our boat, Gripper II to visit Loch Nevis, Loch Hourn and Skye. Fancy the best route to Ladhar Bheinn using the north-east ridge…we make that happen alongside other walks of varying levels. Our minibus gets you to and from Inverie for visits and walks.
Getting Here. Guests arrive at Doune on our boat, Gripper II. You’ll be picked up at Mallaig on a Tuesday or Saturday before enjoying a 40-minute voyage through the Sound of Sleat with views to Ardnamurchan, Eigg, Rhum, Skye and of course, Knoydart.
