Hi, I'm Judy. All my jewellery is hand made from scratch in my small workshop opposite the Foundation bunkhouse, using traditional silversmithing tools and techniques.
Many are set with semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, tumbled sea glass or Whitby Jet.
Come and watch me working during your stay.
KnoydART Drawings Anna Wilson
Living on the beautiful Knoydart peninsula on the west coast of Scotland, I mostly do pet and wildlife commissions working from photographs, but also other subjects such as people and landscapes. I fit in drawing around working on the family farm and being a mum. I work in graphite pencil and some pen and ink. All my drawings are very detailed, down to each hair, feather or rock! I love capturing all the different textures and trying out new techniques.
I have art prints for sale, both mounted(posted flat) and un-mounted(posted in a tube). I also have greeting cards, purchased either in singles from the local shops or in packs direct from me.
Pet Portrait Prices 2019:
A4 - From £140 | A3 - From £200
Extra animals/subjects - £80 | Prints range from £10 to £30.
After studying pottery and ceramics in Glasgow, Isla and Rhona returned home to Knoydart to set up their own workshop and tearoom. The tearoom keeps them busy and they don't get the chance to make as much pottery as they used to so they also sell a selection of other local crafts including: stoneware pottery from Scottish potter Julia Smith; hand spun woollen throws and accessories from Laura's Loom; a range of accessories from KerrieAldo; hand made in Knoydart Soaps; and a range of products from local Knitters, Rhona, Hannah and Veronika. There is also a good selection of new Scottish interest books as well as second hand books for sale.
Laura has been designing and weaving fabric for over 20 years. From her home studio in the Yorkshire Dales she weaves fine silk scarves. A few years ago she started to work closely with spinners, dyers, weavers and cloth finishers in the north of England and the Scottish Borders to process locally sourced wool and translate her own designs in to a range of British wool scarves and throws. Her wools are sourced from farms in the Dales, the Lakes and from right here on Loch Nevis. Yarns for knitting and weaving and socks for walking are the most recent additions to the range.
